Cambian Conifers, 19 Station Road, Borrowash, Derbyshire, DE72 3LG; Starting Salary £6.50 per hour; Permanent Position; Full Time; 42 hours per week
The Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a Support Worker.

Cambian Conifers is a brand new respite unit for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities.  

Job Role  

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our organisation and make a significant contribution to the work that we do. Successful candidates will play an active role in the day to day care and support for our client group, implementing care plans, creating a homely atmosphere, supporting activities and organising trips, whilst assisting with supporting those in our care with general life skills.     

It will be your job to assist in providing high quality care and a safe and therapeutic environment.  

Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and, just like our service users, you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support. You will receive supervision and have yearly appraisals. Training will be provided on e-learning as well as MVA (Management of Violence and Aggression).  

Candidate Profile  
  • You need to have:
  • -A passion for working with people who have a Learning Disability
  • -Experience within the Healthcare settings – preferably Learning Disabilities
  • -A good range of skills and knowledge
  • -Flexibility 
  • -Motivation
  • -Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • -The ability to work on your own initiative
  • -Excellent team working skills  
Successful candidates will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.
